How's things?
I thought I'd start with something that effects tons of people especially if you're still in school of if you work in the public sector... uniforms.
As a school kid I love to hate them but are they better for a good school environment overall?
Do they make everyone feel equal, like they fit in ,no matter how much money they have to spend on brands?
Or do they lay the ground work for future insecurities about having our own unique style and make us feel like we have to conform in order to feel accepted and comfortable? These are the questions that haunt me everybody.
After I finish secondary school on May I don't think I will be wearing royal blue for the.... rest.... of. ...my.LIFE!! Since primary school this color has followed me and to be honest I'ma tad sick of it... Now that Although I'm in the senior cycle now and I've graduated to a lovely bland of grey I can't decide if I'm for or against uniforms?
I'll be talking to different people who wear uniforms to try nd see if I can get a general opinion on them in the workplace and in schools.. and ( this is the best part!!) this is where you come in.. that's right.. Y. O .U..
I wanna hear from ya are you for or against them? Do you have to wear one? What's it like? SEND ME A PICTURE!!
My hope is to feature loads of different uniforms from loads of different places and see if we can come up with the most stylish and the... not so stylish.. If the pic is old send 'em on in and maybe we could learn a thing or two :)
And just to get things started... above is a picture of me and my crew about a year and a half ago hangin in my junior cycle uniform... lovely and bland.. doncha think?
